Pewter, seven pieces, including: three mid-19th C. coffee pots, makers include Freemen Porter of Maine, Griswald of Connecticut, and Boardman Hall of Pennsylvania, two baluster form and one lighthouse form, tallest being approx. 11" h., the Freemen Porter has repairs to base, the Boardman Hall has damage to top handle; one James Yates teapot, English 19th C., pear form, denting to lid, wear to other portions of form; candle holder with abnormally wide heavy base; double burner fluid lamp; Wilton Armetale creamer, New York 20th C.; pieces which have makers are so identified by hallmarks at base, all pieces have wear consistent with age and use including oxidation, paint wear to handles, and blemishes, sold as-is.

A Pair of Important Gothic Revival Cast Iron Benches mid-19th c. the backs with quatrefoils between barbed spokes shaped arms hexagonal lattice seat conforming rail straight legs stretchers height 34 in. width 55 in. depth 17 in. Note: The pattern for these high-style benches appears in simultaneous production in 1842 by James Yates (Rotherham England) and Israel P. Morris (Philadelphia) making this form one of the earliest made in the United States. A bench from the Morris foundry bearing the 1842 date which is installed in the garden at Richmond Plantation (Natchez Mississippi) is identical to those offered here. Reference: Israel. A Very Rare English Cast Iron and Marble Top Console Table mid-19th c. signed James Yates Rotherham registry mark for March 22 1842 No. 1148 in the Rococo taste serpentine white marble top height 32 3/4 in. width 60 1/2 in. depth 25 1/2 in. Note: James Yates acquired the Walker Foundry in 1823 and operated with several partners until 1838 as sole proprietor as seen on the 1842 label here. Yates remained on his own until 1846 when he partnered with George Haywood and John Drable. Yates was very active and had registered 66 designs with the British patent office by 1883. Together with a pewter charger with three touch marks all partial - two reading ''IOHN'' the other appears to be ''I. HARRISON''. Rim with owner's mark ''GGP''. 15 1/2''dia. Group of seven assorted pewter cans 19th century Including: a straight sided bearing the touch of 'James Yates', a baluster form with domed lid, mark illegible, a baluster form, marked 'W R' , a straight sided, engraved 'Gondola/ Barge', two baluster form, unmarked and a straight sided, unmarked. (7). Largest H: 7 1/2 in. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Harry Wetherstine, Germantown, Pennsylvania. ,200 Can with raised mid-band: partial X inside bottom. unmarked. Scratches under lip, crack above foot with some repair around it. Wear around foot and dents to body under the raised band. Lidded can: wear along foot and dents to body. Other baluster form: Wear to base, dent in foor, scratches and staining. Small baluster: dented foot. Yeates: bottom dented; whole stained. Gondola: dented. Other small baluster: severly dented on body and foot.
